Horatio Clare is the author of Running for the Hills, Sicily through Writers’ Eyes and Truant: Notes from the Slippery Slope. Running for the Hills was nominated for the Guardian First Book Award and shortlisted for the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award. A radio producer, contributor and journalist, Horatio has written about Ethiopia, Namibia and Morocco, and now divides his time between South Wales, London and Lancashire.

He was awarded a Somerset Maugham Award for the writing of this book.
